Who can complete my tree hazard assessment?
Certified Arborists!
They are trained in tree hazard assessment and can often identify signs of disease of decay even before they are visible. Arborists are qualified to assess the risk potential of personal injury and property damage. Tree trimmers or lawn care services are simply not certified or qualified to complete a hazard assessment. One must be certified and qualified to complete such reports to ensure the correct information is provided to the client, in which if the client follows the Arborists tree recommendations, the trees health should improve or remain well.
GTW offer Tree Management Plans, Arborist Reports as well as Tree Recommendations. A TMP would be completed for such things as a maintenance program with Palm trees or a tree that has a lot of debris such as fallen seed pods or fronds. We would complete a maintenance program to ensure that the trees were attended to every 6-12months to ensure the safety of any assets around the tree are safe, but also to ensure public safety regarding the fronds falling as they can have a bit of weight to them and easy damage or hurt a person if they were to fall on them. An Arborist Report will explain the tree names and discover any issues or health problems with the trees included in the report. It will also show any other recommendations and overall report on all trees. A tree Recommendation report is a little more simple as it is just a small report with any trees that may be concerning the client. The arborist adds comments such as recommendations of removal if shown any hazards, or recommendations on how to improve tree health.
Not everyone can complete these reports and it must be a certified level 5 Arborist to complete Arborist Reports. Some think reports such as these are very expensive, but you would be looking at $200 to $1000 depending on the amount of trees that require reporting.
